I have to say, 2022 was a complete rollercoaster for so many. Highs and lows, ups and downs, fiascos and good fortunes; but even with all these… DEGA didn't stop, and we never will!
We set out to build a platform that would not only change but completely revolutionize web3 gaming, with the ease of devs creating an original metachain having its own tokenomics and custom technology. To that end, we are building the first infrastructure platform to handle the complexities of AAA game assets and activities, while recreating conversant experiences for developers.
DEGA aims to provide absolute satisfaction to both ends of the chain, the developers and the end-users alike. We are not just a "decentralized" project in name alone as our infrastructure will be affordable, fast, and versatile; allowing a multi-functional platform for everyone to build, fund, and run their creative solutions. This is a new year with endless possibilities and the future is here within the walls of DEGA!Â
It has been an eventful couple of months here in The DEGA Tribe and there's so much more to come. If you're partially new to this, let me take you on a short expedition, as we attempt to unravel the realm of DEGA.
INTO THE DEGAVERSE
The market was chaotic in 2022. The crypto space saw a series of crashes throughout the year, eventually leading to many investors pulling out due to the dip. Since then, we have been in the bear season and this has taken its time to filter out projects that were considered rugs. With the current scheme of things, investors are cautious and willing to only invest in projects that are building because those are the projects that are thriving in this bear season. DEGA is a platform that aims to empower developers and bring utility to the space. Ergo, you can see that we are a project that is focused on building for the present and the future!
We had been working behind the scenes and out in the open all through the year. Here are some of our outstanding achievements:
DEGA INIT Program for testing our API in private beta.
First Metaverse Game is being built with DEGA as part of DEGA INIT.
Closed a successful private Angel Round.
Launched the DEGA SPACES Podcast.
Over 80% of our Web3 Metaverse API has been developed.
Designed the Liquid Reality experience. Full announcement coming this month (January 2023).
Closed multi-dimensional agreements with eSports companies, 3D production companies, and others.
THE DEGA AMBASSADORSHIP PROGRAM / MARLENE OPERATION
I don't think we can talk about the year 2022 without mentioning the success of both the Ambassadorship Program and the Marlene Operation. The Ambassadorship Program, which is still ongoing, brought us to the limelight even more as it fascinated audiences with similar visions for the future of decentralized gaming. In doing this, our community grew in phenomenal numbers across all platforms. This emergence spiked concerns about keeping the community as organic as possible, which in turn birthed the implementation of the Marlene Operation; a program designed by DEGANs for DEGANs, to accommodate involvement and interaction within the growing community.
The two programs have spearheaded the overall advancement of the community as results show that community-generated content and activity attendance on our platforms have shown a significant increase since the inception of these programs. Indeed, these are among the critical highlights of 2022.
PROJECT 2023:Â DEGA DAWN
We are in the first quarter of the year and this signifies the beginning of hopes, goals, expectations, and aims, as a community and as a Tribe. There's a lot to expect this year from DEGA, here are some of them:
Deploy the DEGA Metaverse Studio application for developers and businesses.
Deploy the DEGA Render no-code Metaverse application for end users.
Host the first Liquid Reality events.
Perform a Pre-seed Raise
Onboard 9 more strategic gaming companies to DEGA INIT.
Deploy the first Metachains and the core DEGA Protocol.

We have also altered the line of our Marlene Operation with our Town Hall Meetings rescheduled to happen on Tuesdays, while our AMAs will take place on Wednesdays. Our Community Takeover remains unchanged on Thursdays and our prized DEGA GOOD GAMING GANG event still holds every Friday as its introduction has taken the community by storm since its arrival. With great power comes great responsibility and we are up to the task to deliver as promised!
